R33 PLUS MICROPROCESSOR CONTROLLED MEASURING AND CONTROL UNITS FOR EOOD DRYING KILNS

The R33 measuring and control units are instruments which measures and monitors the wood drying process automatically. Different configurations are available depending on whether the dryer is a conventional dryer (air exchange) or a condensation dryer (with compressor).
The instrument is compact and equipped with SMT vanguard technology (surface mounting technology). The system is controlled by a microprocessor and the data acquisition card, positioned at a distance, communicates by means of the RS485 serial interface, galvanically isolated.
The data acquisition card adopts an innovative measurement system which offers more accurate and stable measurements of the MP wood probes and air humidity. The front-end panel of the backlighted alphanumeric display clearly shows the measurement and programming parameters. The keyboard allows the operator to set and check the drying process, verifying that it is carried out according to the operator's needs.

ALARMS
The red LED near the alarm ideogram shall turn on to warn the operator if some problems arise during the drying process. By pressing the corresponding key on the display the description of the type of alarm is given, as well as which relay output is deactivated / activated depending on the case.

AUXILIARY CONTROLS
Is possible to protect the programme which has been set from any tampering by unauthorized personnel by pressing(Lock) key. Using (Manual) control is possible to set a climate in the dryer which is not linked to the phase diagram, but to the equilibrium moisture and temperature parameters.
The (On line help) key allows the operator to read information concerning what happens during the drying process and explains how some keys have to be used.

24 PROGRAMME MEMORY
Twenty-four drying programmes for different wood types have been stored in the R33's memory. They are general in nature, but they can be emended and overwritten by the operator to take in account his specific needs.

- INPUTS -
Measurement aquisition card for R33 PLUS base unit is external, and connected via RS 485 serial interface.
Temperature and EMC values, sampled by two couples of probes, are used separately, alternated or fixed way, or together, with mean value of the two.

- OUTPUTS -
Connections between device relays and devices for the operation of the dryer are carried out on the left side. It has to be pointed out that a maximum voltage of 1 Ampere (1A) can be applied on the relay contacts.

In the R33 PLUS version there is also an output for the fan reverse and the analogical output 1/10 V for the inverter.
